FSANZ CALL FOR 6 NEW AUSTRALIAN
MEMBERS FOR FOOD STANDARDS AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND'S CONSUMER LIAISON
COMMITTEE
Where a little table talk, can make a big difference.
Are you interested in food? Have you ever wanted to give the government
advice on what goes into food and how food products should be
labelled?
Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is the independent
agency which sets food regulations for Australia and New Zealand
and we want consumers like you to help us understand community
concerns about food and food labelling. Our goal is to give consumers
a greater voice, so we'd like to invite you tell us what you think
about food issues in Australia .
Join the Consumer Liaison Committee
The Consumer Liaison Committee (CLC) is made up of people from
all walks of life across Australia and New Zealand who get together
to talk about food and food-related issues. The CLC advises FSANZ
on the consumer's point of view, giving us a valuable perspective
when we develop food standards and regulations.
You don't need any qualifications or experience in the food industry
to be a member of the CLC. We are looking for ordinary Aussies
who are interested in food and are able to contribute to discussions
and give us advice.
We can't pay you but we will cover all your reasonable costs for
attending meetings and taking part in discussions.
If you're interested, you can find the selection criteria on the
FSANZ website: http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/aboutfsanz/clc/index.cfm
Please send an expression of interest to
Lisa.Clout@foodstandards.gov.au
by Sunday 11 May 2008.

NEW - TOTALLY GORGEOUS TEXTILES
POSTERS
HEIA has developed a set of posters called Totally Gorgeous Textiles.
These complement the first in the series Simply Gorgeous that
showed twelve gorgeous food images. The Totally Gorgeous Textiles
posters are designed to create an environment that is modern,
professional and just plain gorgeous. Whilst designed
primarily for use in school and TAFE classrooms, no doubt the
posters will find their way into many settings where beautiful
images of textiles and dress are appropriate. There are six posters
in each collection. Collection One,
The colours of culture is a set of six posters of
traditional dress in six different cultures that capture the totally
gorgeous richness and vibrancy of cultural dress. Whilst chosen
to illustrate the diversity and beauty of global textiles, they
equally tell many stories about our cultural diversity.
Collection Two, Touching Textiles
is so called because the images inspire the love of textiles for
their tactile beauty. The collection of six posters shows fabrics
of different colours and textures at close range so that you can
almost feel their sumptuous gorgeousness.
