SydneyCongratulations Miriam McDonald

On April 28th Miriam became the new HEIA president. HEIA(NT) members Alex Dobbin, Jenny Unwin, Carmel Glasgow and Penny McIntyre were in Sydney for the occasion.

World Home Economics Day

World Home Economics Day brought about the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to the significant contribution made by past and long serving members to our home economics association and profession.
While enjoying an Indian banquet at Nirvana, the hard work and dedication of Jill Smith, Kerry Aitken and Lynne Strathie was recognised.
Both Lynne and Jill have retired. Jill and Kerry have been long standing members and have served as HEIA presidents and taken on the role of national council representatives. Lynne, has also been a long standing member and has served as NT vice president. She was on the conference planning committee and taken on many other challenges.
