Professional Development Program 2009

The Professional Development Program is presented to you by the executive of HEIA WA.
In this period of rapid change in our education system, we are endeavouring to support you, the home economics teacher by providing a varied professional development program. Our professional development sessions this year focus on continued improvement in curriculum planning and implementation in a wide range of areas.
With the implementation of new upper school courses underway, I encourage you to take advantage of the PD we have available to you and immerse yourself to ensure you are ready to implement this change.
Substantial discounts are offered to members including student members. We see this as a valuable investment for the future and encourage students to become members and take advantage of the PD sessions.
Sessions continue to be offered at rates that are both reasonable and also enable ongoing costs to be met, thus ensuring the ongoing viability of our organisation. Thanks to the executive members of HEIA WA and the many presenters who give so much in order to ensure the ongoing success of HEIA WA.
There is an obvious financial benefit to being a member of HEIA and we encourage you to renew your membership early, and ask that you to encourage your colleagues to become members also.
We wish you a happy and successful year and look forward to your participation in our PD sessions.
