One world cuisine is a vegan restaurant founded on the principle of vegetarianism being a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle choice. The production of plant based foods requires fewer resources to produce them, than the production of animal products and therefore is seen as a strategy in the slowing of global warming. This restaurant aims to reach as many people as they can to encourage people to include more vegetarian meals in their diet.
The restaurant is funded by its owners and by the contributions diners make. Many of the people who work in the restaurant are volunteers. Usually the restaurant asks people to pay what they can afford for their meal. Your registration fee for this event will be donated to the restaurant.
During the evening one of the co-founders of the One World Restaurant will speak to us about the philosophy of the restaurant and the journey so far.
