Join HEIA’s Jye Marshall from Swinburne University of Technology and discover why he is making waves in the fashion industry. A passionate educator with a focus on innovation and sustainability, Jye has extensive experience in both vocational and higher education. He has led design programs and taught courses that equip the next generation of fashion professionals. As an active designer of womenswear and menswear, Jye brings expertise from his background as a machinist and pattern maker. In this interactive session, he will discuss methods for integrating sustainable fashion practices into the classroom; including the circular economy, zero waste pattern cutting, conceptual design thinking and the latest design technologies. Jye is committed to supporting Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and this includes within the classroom.
