New to teaching Home Economics?
Whether you are early in your career or stepping into the Home Economics space from another subject area, this professional development session is designed to support and inspire you.

Join us for a practical and friendly evening featuring classroom-ready resources, teaching tips and tricks, and a Q&A with experienced Home Economics educators from a variety of settings. Aimed at those who want ideas about setting up your Home Economics space, setting up classroom procedures and supporting a wide range of learners. Connect with others in the same boat, ask those burning questions, and leave with ideas you can use straight away.

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with provided nibbles and plenty of opportunities to network and learn.
Principals and school leaders are encouraged to nominate or send along early career and out-of-field teachers looking for guidance, support, and confidence in the Home Economics space.

HEIA(SA) is also excited to offer an online option for members across SA who are unable to join us in person. Please note that this is an interactive event, and while we cannot guarantee the full in-person experience, we will make every effort to include online participants in breakout groups during discussions via Zoom.
