Home Ec Kickstart: For early career, out-of-field teachers and those who are looking for new ideas
New to teaching Home Economics?
Whether you are early in your career or stepping into the Home Economics space from another subject area, this professional development session is designed to support and inspire you.
Join us for a practical and friendly evening featuring classroom-ready resources, teaching tips and tricks, and a Q&A with experienced Home Economics educators from a variety of settings. Aimed at those who want ideas about setting up your Home Economics space, setting up classroom procedures and supporting a wide range of learners. Connect with others in the same boat, ask those burning questions, and leave with ideas you can use straight away.
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with provided nibbles and plenty of opportunities to network and learn.
Principals and school leaders are encouraged to nominate or send along early career and out-of-field teachers looking for guidance, support, and confidence in the Home Economics space.
