The Home Economics Institute of Australia (HEIA) NSW division is committed to continually improving how we serve our members. With this in mind, the committee recently undertook two days of strategic planning to refine our vision, set clear goals, and ensure we are meeting the evolving needs of our membership.
The workshops were facilitated by two of our own esteemed members, Heather Crawford and Louise Godwin. Their expertise and deep understanding of home economics education provided valuable insights, guiding discussions on key priorities for the association.
Throughout the sessions, the committee explored ways to enhance professional development opportunities, strengthen advocacy in the curriculum, and foster a more engaged and connected membership. The result is a refreshed strategic direction that will shape the association’s activities in the coming years.
We look forward to sharing more details soon and welcome input from members as we implement these plans. Thank you for your continued support—together, we are building a stronger future for home economics in NSW.
