By HEIA Inc.
What is the Years 9 and 10 HEIA McCormick® Flavour Forecast® recipe challenge?
Now in its thirteenth year, the challenge presents Years 9 and Year 10 home economics students with the opportunity to explore the McCormick® Flavour Forecast® 25th Edition in detail. The report is developed by home economists, sensory scientists, chefs and food experts from across the world and is a combination of emerging trends and flavours that offer a taste of what’s next on the global menu.
The challenge is for students, individually, or in teams, to develop TWO original recipes that support the McCormick® Flavour Forecast® 25th Edition.
The recipe challenge is a rewarding and creative element of the Australian school curriculum and addresses constraints such as budget and health. Many schools continue to use the recipe challenge as part of their assessment.
